2008-10-13 - This includes load interrupter switches, vacuum circuit breakers, and standard and engineered abbreviated switchgear from the Lake Mary, Florida facility.
ABB Power Products Medium Voltage (PPMV) will increase prices for ANSI OEM indoor apparatus and abbreviated switchgear due to escalating material and transportation costs. Increases will vary on a product basis and will range between 8 -15%.
ABB actively pursues methods for minimizing cost impacts on our customers, while striving to maintain product quality, short delivery times, and provide the most technologically advanced and safest equipment in the industry.
Increases in both raw material and transportation costs continue to be the largest contributors to our cost position. Unfortunately, it is necessary to pass these increases to our customers so ABB continues as a solid performer and provider for medium voltage indoor apparatus.
ABB continues to invest in manufacturing technology and product innovation to ensure the highest value is delivered to our customers worldwide. Advances in technology and manufacturing techniques are essential in maintaining our ability to provide products and services that meet or exceed customer expectations.
ABB will apply this price increase to new quotations. ABB will honor the prices on existing orders and quotations through their validity date. Individual customer agreements will be evaluated on a case by case basis.
Customers will be notified separately of the specific impact to them. Please contact your local ABB representative with any questions.
