  ABB has been present on the Romanian market through ASEA and respectively BROWN BOVERI companies for over 80 years and since 1992, through a local organization. ABB Romania represents nowadays a strength on the Romanian market of power and automation equipment. Due to its customer oriented structure, the company is in permanent contact with its customers’ requirements, offering fast and easy access to the entire range of ABB’s products, services and solutions for: Power Technologies (with applications in utilities - electrical energy, gas, water) and Automation Technologies (with applications in residential projects and industry). ABB Romania has been successfully involved in projects for the national energy system, for which ABB has also obtained the financing. The beneficiaries of the ABB solutions are the large Romanian companies in the energy domain: Electrica, Transelectrica, Termoelectrica, Hidroelectrica, as well as important companies in the Romanian industry, such as European Drinks S.A, ROMATSA, CONPET. In the automation segment the company has provided equipment for the Romanian power plants, developing modern solutions for protection and control. Also, using a large distribution network all over the country, ABB Romania has delivered automation products and solutions for residential applications, services, utility and industry customers, for new projects, but also for the rehabilitation of the old plants. Since 2004 ABB Romania operates according to an Integrated Management System for Quality – Environment –Occupational Health and Safety, which has been certified by SRAC and IQ-Net, being one of the first ten Romanian companies certified for having put into practice an Occupational Health and Safety System.
